How do I release the grinding wheel EzyLock nut?

  • Please try the following as shown in this video:
    1. Stand in front of your machine with the honing wheel on your left hand side and the grinding wheel to the right.
    2. Place your left hand on the honing wheel and hold it firmly.
    3. Grab the grinding wheel with your right hand and rotate it away from yourself.

    These three simple steps should release the EzyLock nut. If not, it might have rusted due to an old version of the main shaft which was not stainless. You find a new stainless steel main shaft at your retailer, MSK-250 Stainless Steel Shaft with EzyLock for Tormek T-8 and older models and MSK-200 Stainless Steel Shaft with EzyLock for Tormek T-4 and older models.
