Sharpening leading to gouge round tip

Hello,

I am using a Tormek T4 machine to sharpen my gouges with the help of th SVS 38 jig. I must be doing something wrong because, although the sharpening is correct (the gouge cuts very well), its tip has lost its straight shape and is now curved. Could you tell me how to improve my sharpening technique?

    To get your tool to a straight shape again please follow the instruction below


    When you start sharpening make sure not to take to much on the sides so you keep the tool straight.
