machine stops
Hello Tormek Team,
My 20 years old Tormek always worked well, but since one week it always stops if i put some pressure on it when sharpening my chisels. Is there any part inside that I can exchange that it works again? best regards, Ludwig Friess

In 99% of the cases it's dirt in any form on the driving wheel, sometimes by older machine the rubber is harder when the weather is colder and the driveshaft from the motor loses the friction.
The easiest way is to clean it with a rough sanding paper. Just hold it for a few seconds on the rubber ring of the drive wheel when the machine is running.
The other option is that the capacitor is defect, then the machine needs also a push to start running, this is one indicator for that fault.
