Water trough on old model
I bought a Tormek sharpening system about 25 years ago. It is very similar to the newer T-8 but the model number does not appear on the product and I lost track of the manual. (it may be a model #2000, but I am not sure.) The water reservoir which cools the grinding wheel sits on the steel surface of the machine, but it needs to be elevated for the water level to be high enough for the wheel to pass through the water. There does not seem to be any adjustment lever or positioning adjustment to raise the water reservoir, so I have resorted to slipping a 3/4 inch thick piece of scrap wood under the reservoir. Is there a better way to elevate the reservoir on my older model? Question #2: do you have a manual for the older model 2000 available for purchase?

We have no other solution to raise the water trough. It sounds that your stone has been to small so it is time to buy a new one.
If you need an instruction for the jigs and the machine you can follow the link to our web-site https://tormek.com/en/knowledge/the-tormek-way-of-sharpening#LaddanerHB10Tormekhandbok and make a registration then you can download the latest handbook. We don't have older handbook available.
