How do I sharpen an 8 inch chef knife with micro bevel?
Hello
I'm new to the tomek system. I have recently purchased the T4 with the HTK-806 Hand Tool Kit. I'm strugglingto sharpen an 8 inch chef knife. There's no wide bevel, but just a double micro bevel each side. I'm not sure how to use the WM-200 to set the angle for sharpening in the knife jig. I've already wrecked one knife but that's not a problem as I was only using an old "throw-away" knife to practice. However, I don't want to make mistakes on the real chef knife that I have to sharpen. I knife I am trying to sharpen is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0787H94P2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Hopefully someone can help me out on this. Many thanks.

The easiest way to re sharpen the small bevel is to mark it with our Edgemarker EM-15 or a marker. You can then adjust the hight of the Universal Support US-103 to reach the complete bevel and remove the marking. Then you have exact the same angel.
Oherwise you use the WM-200 Angelmaster, adjusting the left side, Diameter Compensator to the actual diameter of the stone and adjust the Angelsetter on the right side do the desired Angel, in this case 16-18 degress as statet from the manufacturer and place it according the drawing on the plate mount to adjust the hight of the Universal support.
You can use also both methods togetter and see if the angel is between 16 and 18 degrees.
Tipp: round of the very aggressive edges of the Sahrping stone with the edge of the rough side of the SP-650 Stonegrader.
