The SVM-45 is the predecessor of the KJ-45.
The KJ-45 has a few more features compared to the SVM-45, but both work in the same manner.
Best is to watch our YouTube film regarding the differences between the SVM-45 and the KJ-45 with the new features. Pics, explanes more than alo of words ;-)

Do you plan to make SVM-45 again? This jig is more convenient if using several wheels with different grits for several different knives. In this case, I sharpened all knives on each wheel, adjusting SVM-45 for each knife. This caused that SVM-45 is hard to buy even used and the price for the old jig was rather high.
There are no plans for the old SVM-45. The KJ-45 has solved many other flaws that the SVM-45 had, these overweight the issue of the adjustment which can be done easily over the hights of the Universalsupport which is more precise than the adjustable SVM-45 which can be easily change the adjustmend during sharpening.
