Is this internal movement normal?

The motor inside seems to move when the wheel turns, I have attached a video

  • Hi Fritzi.

Yes this is normal. This is a part of our unique friction drive system.
Our motors need to be able to swing freely against the drive wheel.
The drive mechanism incorporates a unique drive wheel made from RKX18 rubber, which contributes to the system's durability and smooth functionality. This design allows the motor to adjust automatically to the load, maintaining optimal torque without excessive force or wear.
At no load the moto shaft just rest with light pressure against the rubber friction ring. This is to prevent overheating and prolong the life of the drive wheel. When pressure is applied to the stone the motor digs into the rubber and prevent the machine for bogging down or lose power.
This feature acts like a gear box and shock absorber.
This movement from the motor shaft will lessen over time when the machine is used. The rubber friction ring will even out and self-center.

    Have a nice day.
