Is it true that the tormek t-3 motor is ment to work 30 minutes per hour?
I recently bought a second hand tormek t-3. In great conditions just need to true the stone a bit and I had to fabricate the universal rest. Besides that the system looks great. I even set a dial indicator on the shaft to see if there was any wobble and it seems that it is withing the .055 of a mm which is not really an issue. What troubles me is that I found a post saying that the motor on the T-3 is only meant to run 30 minutes per hour. I really do not know If I ever be sharpening for over an hour but it is something that its starting to haunt me thus the question.

The single phase motor for the Tormek T-3 model is rated for 30 min/hour. When you sharpen a tool you turn the motor on and off all the time so I don't think this will be any problem for you.
